My name is Stephen Borgia. I am a graduate of Carle Place High School, an Eagle Scout, and fluent in Italian. Music has always been my passion, and I love sharing it with others. I started playing the violin in second grade and gradually expanded my skills to include other string instruments and the piano. Currently, I am a second-year student at The Crane School of Music, pursuing a dual major in Music Education and Music Performance. During my college breaks, I continue to support the music department at Carle Place High School and have returned to perform in various concerts and events.
I am currently in The Crane Symphony Orchestra. During my time in the Carle Place school district, I participated in Five Towns College Symphony Orchestra, Gemini Youth String Orchestra, Carle Place High School Orchestra, Carle Place High School Chamber Orchestra, Carle Place High School Pit Orchestra, Carle Place Middle School Orchestra, Rushmore Avenue School Orchestra, and Rushmore Avenue School Chamber Orchestra.
My scouting journey began in elementary school, and by the age of 16, I had achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. I dedicated hundreds of hours to community service, participating in food drives, supporting other scouts’ Eagle Scout projects, engaging in wildlife preservation efforts, and completing my own Eagle Scout project. I also mentored younger scouts, served as the Assistant Senior Patrol Leader for a year, and remained active in the Leadership Corps.
At Carle Place High School, I was an active member of the National Honor Society, Italian Honor Society, Tri-M (Music) Honor Society, Math Honor Society, and English Honor Society. I tutored students in all the core subjects, as well as Italian. I consistently challenged myself by taking AP and dual enrollment classes.
